Workshops

A range of additional capacity-building activities will be provided for doctoral students and their supervisors from the four participating universities. For doctoral students, this includes skills training workshops, such as:

  • how to write a thesis
  • a journal article, a policy brief
  • a research application presentation of research project and results
  • media training

A key activity will be “work in progress sessions”, where the doctoral students receive detailed feedback on their ongoing doctoral research.

Forum for supervisors and teachers

Yet another goal is to strengthen competence and collaboration between supervisors and teachers/professors involved in doctoral training programmes in the field of sustainable development and poverty reduction. For this purpose the School will create a forum/colloquium for supervisors/lecturers to interact, share experiences and build knowledge.

Special sessions on the 2030 Agenda and its 17 SDGs will also be provided. Lund University is currently developing an online SDG-course for senior faculty that can be offered to the supervisors and other interested.

More information will follow - thank you for your patience.
