In conjunction with our doctoral course “Governance and the Sustainable Development Goals” Professor Desmond McNeill held a guest lecture for our students and invited guests.

The digital lecture took place on Wednesday 15 March between 10:00-11:30 on the theme “From sustainable development to the SDGs: global ideas and practices in historical perspective”.

About 30 people participated, contributing with questions and comments from range of perspectives. It was, in all, a very inspiring lecture:

- Desmond McNeill gave a very insightful account of how sustainable development has evolved over time, both as a concept and a governance practice, putting our current debates of sustainable development in perspective, Kristina Jönsson, Coordinator for the Development Research School, says.
